How to use and care for your rechargeable hand warmer
Charging it
The hand warmer has a lithium battery built in, and you charge it by USB. Charge it all the way before you head out. We'll say here whether a charging cable comes in the box once our sample is in our hands.
Charge it away from anything that can catch fire. Don't charge it in your bedroom, and don't charge it in direct sun.
Using it
Turn it on and hold it in your hand, or keep it in your coat pocket. It heats on both sides.
We'll list our sample's heat settings, what the display shows, and how long a charge lasts once it is in our hands.
Don't hold it on one spot of bare skin for a long time. Even low heat can burn if it stays in one place too long.
Turn it off before it goes in a bag, and keep it where it won't get pressed.
Can it charge a phone?
It is built as a USB power bank: that's how our supplier lists it, and its packing list calls it a power bank. Whether it can charge a phone, and with which cable, we'll say once our sample arrives.
In the cold and the heat
Don't charge it or leave it in very hot or very cold places, like a car on a freezing night or a sunny dashboard.
When to stop using it
Stop using it if it smells odd, swells, changes color, leaks, or makes a strange noise.
Who it's for
It's sold for grown-ups. Keep it away from children.
Keeping it clean
Wipe it with a dry cloth. Don't put it in water.
